Bruce Thomas, born in Frederick, was first placed on stage at the age of three at the Asbury Methodist Church on West All Saint Street and he has been in entertainment most of his life. In the late 1950's and 1960's his father, Ralph Thomas, was the premier vocalist in Frederick performing up and down the east coast with the Dick Harp Band and the solo. Bruce's family moved from Frederick to the Washington, D.C. area when he was 12 years old and over the years Bruce's vocal style has been influenced by Ralph Thomas (his father), Al Jarreau, Frank Sinatra, Al Green, and Miles Davis so that Bruce can effortlessly move through the musical categories of jazz, pop, swing and R& B. As a baritone, his vocal style is infused with verve, energy, and a charismatic personality that draws enthusiasm and engages his audiences. Bruce has performed at many venues in the mid-Atlantic region. Not only a singer and musician, Bruce has been a New York City based actor and model appearing in Hollywood feature films, national commercials, soap operas, Off Broadway stage theater, and prime time television shows and was one of Muhammad Ali's bodyguards. Bruce is very excited because this is his first performance in Frederick since moving many years ago!
